Advanced Coke Drying Technology
Urja-Disha has developed very innovative design for gainful utilization of heat from various waste gases in steel plant (Stove, Sinter plant, Boiler off gases, coke battery exhaust etc.), for drying of coke, Iron ore, pellets by adopting moving pack-bed concept.
We have also invented a novel technology with water-based heat exchange, to reduce the CAPEX requirement and footprint in cases where the distance between the waste heat source and the Coke Bunker is large.
Our systems utilize sensible heat from hot waste gases, for removing unwanted moisture from coke, iron ore & pellets. This results in reduced coke consumption & improved blast furnace performance, thereby reducing the OPEX and improving the overall efficiency.

This is another offering for Steel industry from Urja-Disha Boiler Technologies. It is a very reliable technology for waste heat recovery on the stove and has proven itself with renowned steel companies with increase in the overall efficiency of the stove and improved performance of the blast furnace.
Ingenious utilization of hot waste gas from stove to heat BF gas and Combustion Air, delivers improved dome temperature (100 to 150°C) & hence blast furnace performance. It helps to reduce CO emission. It also improves the thermal efficiency of stove system by 10 to 15%. With all these benefits, the payback periods are very attractive, often less than a year.

Note: The heating of BF gas needs very different design considerations for safety reasons. Dusty environment & system pressure drop are key to design, & Urja-Disha has got vast experience in this application with many successful installations ranging from 20 to 100 MKcal/hr duty.
